After a great outdoor dance session at the basketball court of MBV, our dance angels embraced the crisp autumn air, the stunning foliage and enjoyed the incredible cascade of autumn leaves that were dancing just like what they did earlier.

Saturday evening presented us with a much needed break from the hot, humid weather that has gripped the nation for weeks, thanks to the generosity of our loving couple Francis and Aida. 

After two months of absence  and not being able to use the facilities of Minnie Veal, we were at last called back to dance and enjoy the new beautiful flooring of the gym.  Welcome back to all and most especially to our dearly beloved Brigitte, who was missed a lot.  It was a good occasion also to celebrate Brigitte’s birthday.  

The Filipino Families and Friends of North Edison sponsored the 30th anniversary of their Youth Camp this past week. The Camp’s purpose was to increase awareness of the Filipino culture among the Filipino youth. For 30 years now, three of our dance angels- Francis, Aida and Dr. Helen- have been steadfastly rendering their services particularly to the Food Committee where Dr. Helen is the Chairman and Aida the Assistant, and to the Music Ministry led by Francis. Speaking of commitment, devotion and taking on responsibilities for 30 years, we applaud their perseverance. At the culmination of the activities, a few more dancers graciously joined them in serving lunch and leading some line dancing!

The family of Lita went to visit her in Palm Coast which delighted her a lot. Eduardo, her grandson who danced during the LD performance at her birthday party, says hello to all our line dancers.

Ms. Cathy spent a relaxing vacation with her extended families at the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

A group of Filipino teachers have been recruited to teach ESL and will be spending their first winter in New Jersey. They need and would welcome winter gears: coats, gloves, boots, hats, scarves – anything you can dig out from your closet will be greatly appreciated.
